Primary Admissions Academic Year 2027/28
Primary school admissions for the 2027/2028 academic year are now open for Medway residents. In Kent applications will open on 6 November 2026. Applications will be open for children born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023, who will be due to start Reception in September 2027. The application deadline is 15 January 2027, with school place offers being issued on National Offer Day, 16 April 2027.

Determined Admissions for 2027/28
Hartlip Endowed Church of England Primary School will be part of the KCC Co-ordinated Scheme for Entry to Year R in September 2026. Year R applications are normally for children born between: 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023.
For normal points of entry to school, Kent resident parents will have the opportunity to apply for their child’s school place online at www.kent.gov.uk/ola.
Families with a Medway address will have the opportunity to name a Kent school on the Medway Council form at www.medway.gov.uk.
The application process for entry into the Reception Year in September 2027-28 begins in early November 2026 until the close date of 15 January 2027. National Offer Day when parents are advised of the school allocated will be 16 April 2027.
In Year Admissions
If your child is currently attending a primary, junior or secondary school and you wish to apply for a place at Hartlip Endowed Church of England Primary School, you will need to complete a Kent In-Year Admission Form (IYAF). Applications for in-year school transfers are now made directly by parents through the Kent admissions process.
As there is no guarantee that a place will be available in your preferred year group, we strongly advise that you do not remove your child from their current school until you have secured an alternative school place. When you are ready to apply, please complete Kent County Council's online In-Year Admission Form:
Your application will be sent automatically to our school, with a copy also provided to Kent's In-Year Admissions Team for monitoring purposes.
School place availability can change at any time. We therefore recommend that parents contact the school office directly to discuss current availability within the appropriate year group before submitting an application.
If you live in Kent but wish to transfer your child to a school in another local authority area, please visit that authority's website for guidance on their in-year admissions procedures.
